End of era was rolled for the era Early Byzantine post Maurikian army reforms. 

The Prestige Point score at the point the End of Era result was rolled stood as follows:

As we are playing the Pivotal events optional rule we couldn't end the era without fighting the Major Defence battle based on the Battle of Yarmuk fought in Syria against the new and expanding Moslem Arabs in 636 CE. 

As I was five Prestige Points up at this stage, and the maximum on offer for a Major Defence was three, there was no point fighting the battle on the tabletop so I was happy to concede a victory for the Julii playing as the Byzantine Empire. Consequently the end result in Prestige Points for the era was as follows:
